Living with PTSD is very difficult and it is mandatory that when dealing with it you have a support system either with you or around you. It is very normal to want to be withdrawn or even isolated due to the events that caused this terrible happening. Do your best to spend time with people you love or people you enjoy being around. Human connection can be one of the most valuable treatments for PTSD. It is imperative that you exercise, even if it is only twenty or thirty minutes a day. Exercise is great for reducing stress and it is a great way to clear the mind. As weird as it may sound, try meditation or even yoga to practice a mindfulness of living in the present. Maybe it is just being still before bed or after waking up, but this practice can be very helpful especially for those who struggle with flashbacks. Living with PTSD is hard and nobody should have to go through it alone. Please reach out to somebody if you struggle with PTSD. There are plenty of people out there who want to help or are struggling with the same thing.
